Last year, I wasn't able to complete my Goodreads Challenge - finishing at 36 out of 50 books. I'd like to blame it on 1) work and 2) moving to a new apartment, but in reality I just got lazy and started feeling like I was only reading to complete this challenge instead of reading because I felt like reading. It was weird.
BUT. I've set my goal for 2014 (40 books instead of 50) and I've completed 5 so far (three of which were simply indulging my Valentine's Day feelings and were basically novellas). I was spurred into action by the release of the 3rd book in Marissa Meyer's Lunar Chronicles: Cress. Heather @ Stacks & Shelves and I have been reading the series as it is being released and now we have to wait a YEAR for #4 Winter to be released. (I don't know if I'm gonna make it!). Moving on.
Next up: wading through my Kindle Book Buying Binge. I bought around 10 Kindle books this week while avoiding my work and perusing Amazon. Some were listed at $0.00 so I obviously HAD to purchase them whether or not I was completely interested in the book plot. Looking forward to get back on track with my reading - it's been a while.
